What will come of the NAACP and Tea Party feud?

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored Individuals and the so-called Tea Party have entered into a tiff. They shall fight on the beaches and so forth of the press. The NAACP contends the Tea Party rallies are pushing racist agendas. The Tea Party says the NAACP is covering up for racism and criminal behavior within the New Black Panther Party. Sturm, and punditry from both sides of the aisle has started to spew forth.

What the NAACP said

Demonstrators outside of Tea Party rallies have been photographed with signs that numerous, including the NAACP, say are racist. The sick and twisted individuals in question do not necessarily represent the Tea Party movement, but the NAACP is assuming there’s guilt by association. In fact, Tea Party officials are barring that sort from their rallies.

The Tea Party side

The Tea Party have fired back the NAACP is racist themselves and trying to bury allegations the New Black Panther Party committed racially motivated voting crimes. The NBPP had a few members outside a voting station during the 2008 election which was investigated by the US Attorney’s office. The attorneys on the case were ordered to drop the case, possibly by Obama appointed officials.

Who is the bad guy on this one?

This controversy gives MSNBC and Fox News something to talk about so they can sell commercials for TV and talk radio shows. But when this is going to amount to more ad revenue for political pundits, the bickering back and forth doesn’t do anything to advance the cause of either side, and doesn’t do anything to combat real racism.
